49% of Americans want Netanyahu arrested
A new poll shows a big and growing share of Americans want Netanyahu arrested, which is bad news for Israel's standing in the U.S.
- Half of Americans said Netanyahu should be arrested if he lands in the U.S.; only about a quarter disagreed.
- The split is sharp by party — most Democrats back arrest, most Republicans don't.
- Young people, both left and right, are the most anti-Netanyahu, hinting the shift will deepen over time.
- Nearly half think he's guilty of war crimes in Gaza and that he's damaged U.S.–Israel ties.
- Even American Jews are divided — only about half of religious Jews call the Gaza operations justified, and a quarter say it's genocide.
Outlook: Public support for the U.S.–Israel alliance looks set to keep eroding as younger, more critical generations replace older ones.
