SALT at Our Kakaʻako hosts Oktoberfest with German beers
Honolulu's biggest Oktoberfest is back at SALT at Our Kakaʻako, a free, family-friendly event that is good news for anyone in Hawaii looking for German beer, food, and live music.
- The event runs on two Saturdays, September 19 and 26, from 5 to 9 p.m., with the barn area turned into a beer hall.
- Four of the six official Munich Oktoberfest beers are on tap, plus Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams versions.
- The first 96 people to buy a liter each night get a commemorative stein.
- Food includes brats, curry wurst, beer mustard, schnitzel sandwiches, and German bakery sweets.
- Live music comes from Chamber Music Hawaii's brass quintet and a band playing Oktoberfest songs.
Outlook: Entry is free and open to all ages, so expect big crowds on both Saturday nights.
