Longs Drugs Maui has won a local best-of award for its pharmacy, good news for a chain that has been part of Hawaii's neighborhoods for over 70 years.

• Longs was voted the best drugstore pharmacy on Maui.
• The chain runs pharmacy care, everyday essentials, and walk-in health services across the islands.
• Drive-through vaccination clinics start in September on Oahu and Kauai, running mornings into the early afternoon.
• Maui gets its drive-through clinic in early October at Maui Mall Village in Kahului, with Hawaii Island locations following a week later.
• Both drive-up and walk-up patients are welcome, though signing up ahead is recommended.

Outlook: The clinics roll out island by island through October, giving people an easier route to fall vaccinations.
