Chinese forces kept up daily pressure around Taiwan, with Taiwan's military tracking the activity closely — routine by now, but a steady reminder that tensions have not eased.

• Taiwan's Defense Ministry counted 13 Chinese aircraft, navy ships, and government vessels near the island over a single day.
• Two military planes were detected, one of them crossing into airspace east of Taiwan.
• Another Chinese fighter was picked up over the Taiwan Strait for a stretch of about two hours.
• Taiwan responded with its own planes, ships, and land-based missile systems on watch.

Outlook: These near-daily incursions look set to continue, keeping Taiwan's forces on constant alert.
