Charlie Kirk Was Right About Oct 7th
A fight has broken out on the American right over what Charlie Kirk actually believed about Israel, and it is bad news for the figures now claiming him as an ally.
- Days after the October 7th attack, Kirk publicly doubted Israel's official account, asking why it took hours for the military to respond to a border 45 minutes away.
- He suggested someone in the Israeli government may have given a stand-down order, and compared the story's gaps to the Epstein case and to COVID messaging.
- He also warned that Israel planned to push Palestinians out of Gaza, and noted Netanyahu was fighting a constitutional crisis at home before the war handed him an emergency government.
- Those same remarks got him branded an anti-semite at the time by right-wing figures who now praise him.
- Since his killing, Netanyahu and Trump have presented him as a devoted friend of Israel — the opposite of what he was saying in private and in public.
Outlook: Expect a widening split on the right between pro-Israel establishment voices and a younger base that reads Kirk's own words as permission to ask harder questions.
